About this Item
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
Pit-fired earthenware Ukhamba with relief and incised patterns
2006
23cm high, 24cm diameter
Notes
Nzuza's pots seem to have been effortlessly inflated from within rather than laboriously built. To anyone familiar with hand-built pots, they are astonishing.
Provenance
Acquired by current owner from Vukani Museum in Eshowe.
