Notes
Inscription on the plaque reads: "2nd Battalion Worcester Regiment under the command of Major General R A P Clements Slingersfontein (near Colesberg, Cape Colony), (Feb 12, 1900). Godfrey Douglas Giles O B E (1857-1941). Major Giles then a special artist correspondent for the The Graphic was an eyewitness to the engagement."
