‘Lovely aromas of crushed berries and minerals. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a long, rich and ripe finish. Very tight and reserved. Slightly hard now. Best after 2004.’ – Wine Spectator (Nov 2002)

‘Deep red-ruby. Very primary aromas of raspberry, strawberry and mint, plus an exotic suggestion of pineapple that Torrengo says was particular to the fruit of '99. Ripe and solidly structured.
