Notes
In the epic Requiem (1994) … a monumental Neptune-like figure emerges from the water with fish in hand. This is, of course, loaded with Christian symbolism. It refers to the New Testament parable of the fish and the loaves. It is during this phase that Catherine also returns to the etchings of the walls and empty edifices of his earlier years.
