Critics Ratings
‘Still young, this intense wine is packed with tropical and citrus fruits. It is also structured, textured with a chalky, mineral feel. This is a wine that feels rich and that needs several years aging. Drink from 2016.’ – Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, 91/100 (Apr 2014)
‘Light, greenish yellow. Exuberant aromas of orange peel, quinine and white pepper. Juicy and youthfully taut, with citrus flavors accentuated by lively acidity, this sauvignon blanc opens quickly on the palate. Finer and tenderer than the En Travertin, it also shows more persistence on the finish.’ – Joel B Payne, Vinous, 89/100 (Sep 2014)
‘Lime green in color, it offers a refined, floral, slightly spicy/smoky aroma of yellow nectarines and tropical flavors which assume command after some minutes of aeration. Brilliant in its very aromatic taste of nectarines and passion fruit, this is a slightly salty, very elegant and accessible wine of good balance. It is delicate very well made and of reliable and enjoyable quality, but may saturate much earlier than the Sancerres do.’ – Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate (Oct 2014)
