Graham Beck, founded in 1983 and situated in the Breede River Valley, is one of South Africa's leading estates. Pieter Ferreira, who's affectionately known as Bubbles (because of his passion for Méthode Cap Classique and Champagne), has been the driving force at Graham Beck since 1990. They were one of the first farms to be awarded WWF Conservation Champion Status and have undertaken a number of environmental and philanthropic initiatives.

Critics Ratings

‘Even more pinot noir (85%) in 2014, with chardonnay. Impressive balance for no dosage, less taut than 2012 (91 pts). Pervasive freshness, layers of flavour: almond, yellow peach & some saltiness that calls for the oyster platter. 60 months on lees, like siblings. No 2013.’ - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2021, 4.5* (92/100)

‘Made from 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, the 2014 Brut Zero opens with a bright and zesty nose with elements of green and yellow apple skin, zesty citrus, a delightful element of citrus blossom and nutty essence. Medium-bodied, the wine is energetic with a crisp and refreshing mouthfeel before giving way to complex flavors of toasted almonds and green apple. A lively, acidic backbone props up the expression. The wine concludes with a long, citrus and mineral-driven finish that will continue to be food-friendly for the next five to six years. 12,000 bottles were filled after resting on the lees, in bottle, for 60 months before disgorgement.’ – Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate (May 2021)

‘Pale mid-gold. Flinty and fresh citrusy and biscuity on the nose with lime notes predominating steely but not austere with a lovely almost bony structure lifted by real fruit and real breadiness pure and enticing.’ – Michael Fridjhon, Winewizard.co.za, 93/100 (Aug 2020)
