A touch less oak than 2015 (5 stars, 95 pts) (39% new, all blonde or light toast), beautifully showcasing the fruit, adding earthy complexity. 'The subtle changes that winemaker Emul Ross is making to the Hamilton Russell Pinot Noir, allied to some replanting of virused blocks, is bearing fruit.
