A 3 litre bottle of David Finlayson GS Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

This is a limited production wine made from a single clone of Cabernet Sauvignon planted on Edgebaston. It has a nose of cassis and blackcurrant fruit, complemented by fresh minty and herbaceous notes, with hints of mocha vanilla. The palate offers a broad mid-palate and long-lasting flavours of boysenberry and subtle sweet mulberry, merging with fresh vanilla and nutmeg spice on the finish.

The wine showcases firm structured tannins and a lengthy finish, indicating excellent ageing potential. Only two 5 litre, five 3 litre and 4000 750ml bottles of this wine were produced, making this bottle very rare and special. It has received accolades, including being named in the Top SA 100 and receiving a Double Platinum award at the National Wine Challenge.
