6 x 750ml bottles of Kopano Sauvignon Blanc – Sémillon 2023

55% Sauvignon Blanc, 45% Sémillon

This wine was made by Mosima under the mentorship of Boela Gerber whilst she was at Groot Constantia during her second year as a Protégé.

The Sauvignon Blanc grapes were harvested at 22.6˚ Balling and the Sémillon grapes were harvested at 23.2˚ Balling – each on different days. The juice from these grapes was handled separately during crushing, pressing, and fermentation. Fermentation occurred in different barrels: the Sémillon fermented in a 300 litre first-fill barrel and the Sauvignon Blanc in 500 litre fourth- and fifth-fill barrels. After four months, the two wines were blended in a 500 litre fifth-fill barrel and aged for an additional seven months before being bottled. While ready for consumption now, this blend also has the potential to age gracefully for up to five years.

This wine presents notes of citrus, fresh white flowers, yellow apples, and honey with an opulent palate that is crisp and bright with a beautiful mid-palate and a refreshing finish.

This wine is packed in wooden box.
