Anina Deetlefs, born in 1973 in Johannesburg and currently residing in Durbanville, is a South African artist with a background in graphic design, having obtained her degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 1995. She has been a finalist in several prestigious competitions, including the StateoftheART Awards (2018), Sasol New Signatures (2015), and the Sanlam Portrait Award (2017). Deetlefs has held solo exhibitions at Rust-en-Vrede Gallery and Art@Africa Gallery, with her most recent in 2023. Her work is represented by galleries in South Africa, Belgium, and the UK, and has been featured in publications such as Visi, Southern Vines, and Art Times.
