Geena Wilkinson (b. 1994, Cape Town, South Africa) graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Art from the Michaelis School of Fine Art at the University of Cape Town in 2016. As an Andrew W. Mellon Scholar, she completed her Honours in Curatorship in 2019, graduating with first-class honors. In 2024, she presented works with Worldart Gallery at the Investec Cape Town Art Fair and is set to showcase new works at RMB Latitudes later this year. Wilkinson's artistic practice explores the banal through domesticity, often focusing on food to highlight temporality and evoke nostalgia. Her works serve as still lives that memorialise fleeting moments, capturing the tension between desire and absence in everyday life.
