Mongezi Ncombo is a South African multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the complex relationship between chaos and tranquility, shaped by his life experiences. Utilizing mixed media techniques, including painting, drawing, and collage, he addresses themes of identity, social justice, and human dignity. His distinctive style combines elements of abstract impressionism and realistic cubism, featuring a signature checkered pattern that enhances his visual narrative.

Born in Mthatha and trained at Central Johannesburg College and Artist Proof Studio, Ncombo has exhibited extensively since 2010. He has participated in various mentorship programs, including the Spier Arts Trust, and has received acclaim for his work at notable exhibitions and auctions. Currently, he is in residency at the Modern Art Project South Africa while managing the Richmond Bookbinding Project, with his recent solo exhibition "Pandemonium Clarity" generating significant media attention.
