Nicky Liebenberg, born in 1974 in Johannesburg, is an accomplished artist with over twenty years of experience in various mediums, particularly drawing and printmaking. She earned a National Higher Diploma in Fine Art from Wits Technikon in 1996, where she excelled in mastering drawing, and later obtained an advanced diploma in Visual Arts and Art History from Unisa in 2005, both with distinction.

Liebenberg has exhibited widely, participating in notable group exhibitions such as “Gender Rights Rites, Rewrites” at the Gertrude Posel Gallery in Johannesburg and “Gynaka Women Artists” in Belgium. She has also held two solo exhibitions in Johannesburg. Her work has been recognized in prestigious competitions, including being selected as a finalist in the ABSA Atelier Competition (2005, 2006) and a top twenty finalist in the Thami Mnyele Art Competition (2021). More recently, she participated in the Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in London (2023) and the Directors Cut (2024).
