Notes
Cecilia Steinberg, born in 1980 in Namibia, is a professional architect with a master's degree from the University of Pretoria (2005). Her artistic work has explored themes of sacred spaces and purification through fire, notably in her charcoal landscapes of the Jonkershoek nature reserve (2021-2023), exhibited at the 2023 Toyota Stellenbosch Woordfees. Currently, Steinberg is experimenting with charcoal and water on Yupo paper, as well as 3D metal word art, drawing inspiration from the Woordfees theme of "Play/ Speel".
