Patrick Seruwu is a self-taught artist currently residing in Johannesburg, originally from Kampala, Uganda. With six years of experience, he has gained recognition for his intricate paintings and drawings that explore the struggles, suffering, strength, and triumphs of African women. Seruwu has participated in over twenty exhibitions worldwide, showcasing his talent and unique perspective.In 2019, he was awarded the Johannes Stegmann Mentorship Program, sponsored by Lizamore & Associates Gallery, which culminated in his first solo exhibition at the gallery on November 1, 2020. Looking ahead, Patrick will participate in the SAFFCA Residency at Lion Sands from October to November 2024.
