Teresa Truda was born in 1966 in Johannesburg and now works from her home studio in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley. She holds a National Higher Diploma from the School of Art and Design at Witwatersrand Technikon. Teresa has showcased her graphic illustrations at the Franschhoek Art Festival (2018) and participated in the 3rd National Watermedia Exhibition (2019). Her project, 100 Days of Awakening the Ancestors, was featured in the September 2019 edition of Ideas Magazine. She has exhibited in various group shows, including Lush at RKContemporary (2022/23) and Still Life Re-Imagined (2024). While she enjoys exploring various mediums, her current focus is on abstract painting and paper sculpture.
