Griet Van der Meulen is an eco-feminist artist whose work explores the healing aspects of gardens. She holds an Honours degree in Fine Arts from the University of South Africa (2002) and a BA in Afrikaans Literature and History of Art from the University of Pretoria (1979), among other qualifications. Her artwork, featured in various private collections worldwide and in public collections like the Government of Mpumalanga, reflects her desire to create spaces free from judgment, promoting growth and belonging. Currently, she is showcasing her work at The White River Gallery in Mpumalanga, where she emphasises the importance of nurturing our environment and addressing climate change through her artistic practice.
