Jaco Sieberhagen (b. 1961, Victoria West) is a prominent South African sculptor recognised for his extensive body of work and contributions to contemporary sculpture. He has received numerous accolades, including the New Signature award in 1996 and a Merit Award at the Sasol New Signature Exhibition in 2005. Over his career, Sieberhagen has participated in 21 international exhibitions, 45 national exhibitions, and has held 16 solo exhibitions. His work is housed in various public collections, including the South African Constitutional Court and the Iziko Museums in Cape Town. Through his art, Sieberhagen explores themes of identity and existence, employing a poetic approach that resonates deeply with viewers.
