Born in 1957, Susie Whitcombe is a British equine artist who was inspired by her mother, a draughtsman and stockman. She trained under portrait artist John Walton at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London. Whitcombe paints from life, imbuing her works with energy and movement. She is a founding member of the Society of Equestrian Artists and has exhibited at galleries worldwide, including in Britain, the United States of America, Australia, and Japan.
