About this Item
Vinzelles takes its name from the Latin "vincella" which means small vine. 50 hectares of essentially south, south-east facing vineyards, the appellation of Pouilly-Vinzelles encompasses the villages of Vinzelles and Loché. Continuing from the predominantly limestone slopes of Chaintré and Fuissé, the vineyards of Pouilly-Vinzelles are exclusively planted with Chardonnay and closely resemble those wines from its neighbour Pouilly-Fuissé.

Critics Ratings
‘Warm and ripe, this has yellow fruits that contrast with the freshness of crisp apples. There is a light touch of minerality, although the essence of the wine is its fruitiness.’ – Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast (Nov 2012)
‘Clean, ripe Chardonnay with a French accent. Very broad and bright and buttery – the opposite of where Australian Chardonnay is headed! Almost fat but delivers lots of easy satisfaction even if not that sculpted. Fades to nothing on the finish.’ – Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, 15.5/20 (Jun 2012)
