Alto Cabernet Sauvignon: The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes came from the Damvak and Perdekamp vineyards situated at 180 metres above sea level and facing north. The vines are trellised.
Producer notes: A classic Cabernet, it is deep ruby red in colour, and possesses a complex nose with excellent fragrance. On the palate, it is full, rich and complex with a long finish.

Alto Rouge: 1988 vintage was the last Alto Rouge to include Tinta Barocca in the blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Shiraz. After 1989, Hempies Du Toit changed the style of Alto Rouge to Bordeaux varieties.
