About this Item

2006 Pessac-Léognan
1 (1 x 1) 750ml

Château Carbonnieux is a wine estate based in the Pessac-Léognan region of Bordeaux where, in keeping with its regional reputation (in the Graves region south of Bordeaux town), it produces red and white wines across a variety of tiers – and often to equal acclaim. The estate was founded in the 13th Century and, throughout the following six centuries, its ownership has passed between many of France's bourgeois families. The modern history of the château began in the mid-1900s, when it was purchased by the Perrin family. Château Carbonnieux strives to practice organic and sustainable farming throughout the vineyards.

Critics Ratings

'Smoky, dense and solid, this is a structured wine that brings together plenty of ripe, juicy fruit and rich tannins. There is some tightness and minerality, but the generous nature of the wine is dominant. The finish just floats away into fresh black currants.' - Wine Enthusiast (2009)
