About this Item

2008 CWG Duncan Savage Auction Reserve Semillon
6 (1 x 6) 750ml

Cape Point Vineyards is an award-winning wine estate nestled between the fynbos, vineyards and the Atlantic ocean in Noordhoek, Western Cape. On the white wine front, Wine Spectator seems to agree with Neal Martin that Cape Point Vineyards is the go-to address for top Sauvignon Blanc. Their serious Sauvignons are up there with the finest whites in the country, displaying focus, minerality, tension and depth.

Auction Year 2010:
Traditional handling in the cellar. Barrel fermented and aged for 11 months in 600 Litre French oak barrels where the wine underwent full malolactic fermentation. The wine received a light filtration before bottling. Drink now or over the next three years.
Tasting note: The blend displays honey, oatmeal and citrus which follow onto a rich palate with good length and freshness.
Winemaker: Duncan Savage
