About this Item
Nestled between majestic mountains on the Helshoogte pass, Delaire was established by John and Erica Platter in the early 1980s and is now one of the jewels in the Cape Winelands. Current owner, luxury brand mogul, Laurence Graff, has transformed the 'vineyards in the clouds' into a Cape art, hospitality and wine destination bar none. Under the auspice of winemaker Morne Vrey, Delaire Graff has amassed a host of awards and is listed as a ‘first growth’ producer by Tim Atkin MW.
An Icon which set forth an ambitious path, the Laurence Graff Reserve holds within its moniker the vision to achieve greatness. A truly iconic claret, classically elegant yet with a gravitas to tribute its namesake, it stands as the pinnacle of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Critics Ratings
‘A label for only the very best vintages. Inky dark 2009 from the year’s best barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon, demure yet not wholly restrained. Bright cassis and mulberry aromas; flashy, well integrated oak. Seamless, with refreshing savoury finish. A ‘statement’ wine without exaggeration.’ - Platter’s SA Wine Guide 2013, 5*
‘Made from Cabernet Sauvignon with 8% Petit Verdot for added backbone and colour, this is more tannic, opaque and concentrated than the Cabernet Reserve, but it’s not necessarily any better, just denser. Rich and savoury, with serious tannins, masses of tarry, black fruit, plenty of oak and fresh acidity. A wine that will reward cellaring, this is another very impressive effort from Morné Vrey. Drink: 2018-2026.’ - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2013, 95/100
