About this Item
Established in 2007 by the dynamic husband-and-wife team, Chris and Andrea Mullineux have, in a very short space of time, established Mullineux (and along with other ‘revolutionaries’ the Swartland itself) as one of South Africa’s most celebrated producers. Their track record speaks for itself: Awarded Wine Enthusiast’s International Winemaker of the Year in 2016, Tim Atkin’s SA Winemakers of the Year in 2017 and Five times Platter's Winery of the Year (2014, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2023).

Critics Ratings
'Savoury and sober in aroma. Spice, pepper and dark fruit of pure Syrah. Some oak sweetness on the palate but counterbalanced by the finest of dry tannins. Chalky fresh aftertaste.' - Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com, 17//20 (Sep2019)
'Savvy Syrah drinkers know that this example of their favourite grape is fantastically consistent from year to year. Using fruit from seven vineyards on schist, granite and iron soils, it’s a fine, violet-scented red with some pepper spice and a bit more tannic grip than usual. 2019-24.' - Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2018, 93/100
'Blend of 3 soil types specified in terroir range, half the barrel time, 2016 earlier drinking but appearances deceive, still sleekly powered for ageing. Classic shiraz styling, scrub & hedgerow fruit, white pepper, plush texture, sinuous elegance.' - Platter's SA Wine Guide 2019, 4.5* (91/100)
