The Boekenhoutskloof Syrah is sourced from two properties in the Swartland. The two sites (Porseleinberg and Goldmine) are unique for terroir of rocky bedrock and decomposed mica schist soils. This is the first vintage claiming "Wine of Origin Swartland" for this wine, and the blend comprises of 80% Porseleinberg and 20% Goldmine fruit.

'The 2015 vintage is the first time that the Syrah from Boekenhoutskloof is certified as being from the Swartland. The nose is very fragrant with notes of black berries, olive, lavender, white pepper and just a hint of reduction.
