Maxime Graillot, Alain Graillot’s son, started his own domaine, Domaine des Lises, in 2003. He transformed the newly purchased vineyards, located in Beaumont Monteux, on the appellation Crozes-Hermitage, and increased planting density by 200%. In 2008, Maxime took over the running of Domaine Alain Graillot from his father. A generational change at any domaine, not least the formidable Alain Graillot, can be daunting. Thankfully, a string of excellent vintages proved that the Graillot dynasty is safe in Maxime’s hands.
The 2014 Domaine des Lises Crozes-Hermitage exemplifies the quality and elegance associated with Maxime Graillot's winemaking, offering a compelling expression of Syrah from the Northern Rhône.
