‘Baked characters on the nose with loads of sweet fruit on the palate. Despite the ripeness and sweetness, there is an undercurrent of freshness with acidity and a fine line of tannin. Concentrated, a high-class wine just reaching its peak.'- Andy Howard MW, JancisRobinson.com, 16.5/20 (Sep 2022)
‘ “Grand Vin de Bordeaux”, jokes André van Rensburg about the acronym of this wine. Combining mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, all aged in 100% new wood, it wouldn’t look out of place in the Médoc, with leafy, graphite-like aromas and fine tannins.'-Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2018, 93/100
