2015 Vintage - International
About the SessionFurther afield, the vintage also achieved greatness in classic regions such as Burgundy, Bordeaux, Tuscany and Piedmont. 2015 was an excellent year as Europe had an intensely hot summer and many regions were affected by drought. Although the top wines are still young, the sale offers a range of attractive buys that are ready to be enjoyed.
About this Item
Founded in 1858 as Domaine Robert Arnoux, the domaine was renamed in 2008 to reflect the fact that Pascal Lachaux, husband of Florence Arnoux, was running the estate. Sixth-generation Charles has since taken the helm.
‘A bright new star’ (Jancis Robinson MW), Charles Lachaux has overseen a meteoric rise in the quality of viticulture, range and profile at Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, ‘a key member of an influential group of younger vigerons’ (Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy), with allocations increasingly difficult to acquire.

‘The velvety texture provides a warm embrace for the black cherry, black currant and violet aromas and flavors. Features a firm backbone of acidity and tannins, ending in a harmonious aftertaste. 2021- 2035.’ – Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator, 92/100 (May 2018)
‘(from 60-year-old vines; vinified with 80% whole clusters; this and all of the estate's crus wines were still in barrel in early November): Aromas of raspberry and underbrush. Plush in texture but more restrained than the wines that were already in tank. The fruit is here a bit more medicinal and minty and less sweet at this stage. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and a spicy element. In an awkward phase.’ – Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, 89-92/100 (Nov 2016)
‘A restrained and almost mute nose only grudgingly reveals notes of violet, red cherry and raspberry along with subtle spice nuances that continue onto the sleek, cool and vibrant middle weight flavors. This isn't especially dense but the intrinsic refinement of Vosne is very much on display and particularly so on the balanced, sappy and solidly persistent finale. 2022+’ – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 88-91/100 (Jan 2017)
