A Chinese Wucai brushpot, Qing Dynasty
the waisted body enamelled with a continuous scene of three attendants and a pony in a balustraded garden with scholar's rocks, linghzi, flowerheads and foliage, a band below enamelled in green, red and blue with linghzi amongst scrolling foliage, with a further band below with iron-red and green dot and flame motifs, with a bejewelled border, recessed foot, underglaze-blue six-character Wanli mark enclosed by a double blue-line border, firing crack, 17,6cm high
