A Japanese blue and white dish, early 20th century
the centre painted with rondels of 'The Three Friends of Winter' and geometric motifs, the side partly decorated with a wavy panel of blue and white blossom, the reverse with scrolling foliage, underglaze-blue mark, 28,5cm diameter; a Japanese blue and white transfer-printed dish, early 20th century, the centre with an eight-point star enclosed by zigzag and foliate borders surrounded by eight petal-shaped medallions, each with cell-diaper and geometric decoration, stylised flowerhead rim, the reverse with three Buddhist emblems, firing and hairline crack, 30,5cm diameter; a Japanese blue and white transfer-printed bowl, early 20th century, decorated with fan-shaped overlapping panels centred by flowerheads and geometric borders, the reverse with two sprays of peonies, raised on a low footrim, 19,2cm diameter; and a Japanese blue and white stand, painted with ho-o birds amongst foliage, the rim with cell-diaper and manji borders,the rectangular base with conforming trough, 13cm high, 21cm wide
