Notes
The work Chaise Longue (2010) depicts a classic nude in a palazzo in Rome where Kentridge once spent an artist’s residence. The presence of a nose references the production of Shostakovich’s The Nose, which Kentridge created for the Metropolitan Opera House in New York in 2010.
