About this Item

2003 Saint-Emilion
3 (1 x 3) 750ml

Château Pavie Macquin is named after the grandfather of the current owners: Albert Macquin (1852-1911), who Saint-Emilion has to thank for the use of grafted plants designed to save the vineyards devastated by phylloxera. Pavie Macquin was elevated to Premier Grand Cru Classe in 2006.

Critics Ratings

'Shows admirable freshness for the vintage, with light floral, cedar and tea aromas, followed by fine-grained structure that lets the plum and cherry fruit glide through. Delivers a mulled spice echo through the finish. Drink now through 2025.' - James Molesworth Winespectator.com 92/100 (2018)
