About this Item
Tertre-Rôteboeuf is regarded as one of the top wines of Saint-Émilion. The estate was originally known as Le Tertre and did not produce any wine, instead its vines were used by Bellefont Belcier. François Mitjavile changed the name to Le Tertre Rôteboeuf in order to distinguish the estate from other châteaux, and produced his first vintage in 1978. Their small 6-hectare vineyard produces low yields to ensure higher concentration, and organic and sustainable farming techniques are used in the vineyards.

'Lots of plum and hints of cedar and cigar box on the nose. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long, rich, beautiful finish. A wonderful wine. Delicious.' - James Suckling Winespectator.com 91/100 (2007)
