oval, painted with the Fontanka River Embankment in St Petersburg, a ship and two rowing boats, the Egyptian Bridge sphinx statue and column in the foreground, against a mother-of-pearl ground with gilt highlights, enclosed by a gilt frame, with Cyrillic inscriptions, hinge broken, 2cm high, 12cm wide, 9cm deep
