About this Item
“What I enjoy most about winemaking is you get dealt the cards, and you don’t really know what you are going to get – it’s all up to nature. So you can either have a great year or a not-so-great year, but it’s what you make of it.” - Warren Ellis
100% Cabernet Sauvignon
• Our signature Cabernet Sauvignon.
• It is a distinctive style with all the hallmarks of the Jonkershoek Valley, known for its balance of elegance and power.
• Single vineyard and small batch, with whole-berry fermentation initiated in a stainless-steel tank.
• Second fill 500 litre barrels were used to mature this wine and it is a pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Jonkershoek Valley.
Tasting Notes: Intense dark colour. The nose shows restraint, with aromas of cassis and cedar, so typical of the Jonkershoek Valley. The palate is nervous and fresh; followed by fine, dense and tight tannins. A wine that is built to last.
Ready for drinking 2025 to 2034.
