A Victorian oak and brass-mounted campaign chest-on-chest, Army & Navy Co-operative Society Ltd, late 19th century
in two parts, the hinged rectangular panelled top enclosing a mirror and two pairs of shaped shelves, with later metal supporting rods, above a pair of short drawers with a long drawer below, the lower half with a secrétaire drawer enclosing a hinged gilt-tooled leather-inset writing surface flanked by a pair of compartments each with slides enclosing further compartments, above a pair of graduated long drawers, raised on bun feet, lacking original brass rods for shelves, one drawer applied with manufacturer's plaque, inscribed Army & Navy C.S.L. makers, 119,5cm high, 115cm wide, 56cm deep
