the hinged rectangular top inset with a brass plaque inscribed ‘MR W. F. BURY’, enclosing a blue leather writing surface, the top with secret compartment, pen compartment, ink and ponce compartments, detachable brass candle sconces, the side fitted with a secret drawer, the sides with brass carrying handles, cracks to the top and base, 18cm high, 55,5cm wide, 27,5cm deep; on a later mahogany stand, rectangular, raised on tapering square-section legs, 40cm high, 57,5cm wide, 29cm deep
