An early Victorian rosewood-veneered and brass-inlaid jewellery box, 19th century
the rectangular hinged top inlaid with foliate brass borders and a vacant cartouche, enclosing various purple silk-lined compartments, detachable jewellery tray, the front similarly inlaid, the sides with brass carrying handles, some areas of distress to the brass and veneer, 12cm high, 30cm wide, 25cm deep
