the rectangular hinged cover inset with a brass plaque inscribed ‘Amelia’, enclosing a green leather and silk interior, with detachable tray fitted with silver-mounted glass toiletry bottles and boxes, Frances Douglas, London, 1841, each engine-turned silver top engraved ‘Amelia’, the inside of the cover with leather writing surface and fitted with a blotter, stamped ‘EDWARDS, MANUFACTURER TO HIS MAJESTY, 21 KINGS ST, BLOOMSBURY, LONDON’, 10cm high, 28cm wide, 22cm deep; and an associated Elizabeth II silver hairbrush, W G Sothers Ltd, Birmingham, 1955
