Notes
This work was painted while the artist was traveling through Namibia in the mid 1970s. After his vehicle broke down near Usakos, the South African Defence Force came to his aid by collecting and transporting it to the nearby town for repairs. This painting was completed over the course of a few days and was given to Staff-sergeant Bothma in appreciation of his assistance during this time.
