This work illustrates the poem by French poet Arthur Rimbaud, written in 1872, on page 45 of the volume Les Illuminations de Rimbaud (Grosclaude, Lausanne, 1949).
Number 182 from an edition of 395, plus 20 artist's proofs.
A copy of the colophon page signed by the artist and the publisher Louis Grosclaude and numbered 182, and a Leslie Sacks (Les Art International) Certificate of Authentication and invoice dated 12.5.04 accompany the lot.
