Notes

Back Story: Unable to access hair salons during the lockdown. I was forced to do the inevitable and adapt to my situation. Thanks to the Youtube channels explaining how to get started on braiding for beginners I was able to get it right after my third attempt. Now I can braid my hair at home.

This image was submitted to Stilled Life, a community photographic platform launched to give South Africans a place to share their Covid-19 stories, and has been selected as one of the top 100 images that will be on view at the 2020 RMB Turbine Art Fair.
