Back Story: My 93-year-old grandfather prays every morning and afternoon. Now more than ever, he takes solace in his religion, seeking spiritual nourishment to counter balance being cut off from the world during lockdown.
This image was submitted to Stilled Life, a community photographic platform launched to give South Africans a place to share their Covid-19 stories, and has been selected as one of the top 100 images that will be on view at the 2020 RMB Turbine Art Fair. The proceeds of the sale of this lot will benefit the BASA Artists Relief Fund.
