oval, painted with a pair of kidney-shaped panels depicting marine scenes, enclosed by gilt line borders and cobalt blue ground highlighted in relief with sprays of foliage and a flowerhead, lacking the cover and écuelle, gilding worn, painted interlaced LL monogram and the date letter t with artist's initial M, paper label, 22,5cm long
