About this Item
Domaine Dujac was established in 1967 by Jacques Seysses when he purchased Domaine Marcel Graillet, a poor estate of only 4.5 hectares, and renamed it Domaine du Jacques. Overtime, the name evolved into Domaine Dujac – a playful moniker. Today, they hold around 14.5 hectares and cultivate 18.5 hectares in total. Buying parcels as they became available, the domaine expanded over the years and now owns some of the most exceptional holdings, including the Grands Crus of Echézeaux, Bonnes-Mares, Clos Saint Denis, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Charmes-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche. Aiming for elegance, finesse and complexity, the quality of their seven Grands Crus is a testament to the domaine being one of the Burgundy’s leading producers.

Critics Ratings
‘The 2009 Bonnes-Mares is cool, implosive and totally reticent. In other words, classic young Bonnes-Mares. Sweet red cherries, flowers and mint sit on a bright, sinewy frame that gradually relaxes just enough to release the wine’s potential. There is more than enough verve and structure to support several decades of fine drinking. Today the blend of Dujac’s holdings in Bonnes-Mares is approximately equally divided between terres rouges and terres blanches. Anticipated maturity: 2024-2044.’ – Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com, 95/100 (Apr 2012)
‘A remarkably fresh and expressive nose displays high-toned red berry fruit, earth and mineral aromas that give way to firm, serious and equally mineral-driven big-bodied flavors that offer excellent verve on the well-muscled and especially structured finish that seems to go on without end. This positively dazzling effort is not quite old school in basic character though it knocks on the door of it and like several of these grands crus, will need 15 to 20+ years to reach its full prime. A 'wow' and potentially one of the greatest vintages ever for the Dujac Bonnes Mares, which is saying something given this wine's superb track record. Drink 2027+.’ – Allen Meadows, Burghound.com, 96/100 (Jan 2012)
