3 x 1.5 litre bottles of De Grendel Elim Shiraz, one bottle of each vintage: 2018, 2019, 2020

This Shiraz reflects the unique terroir of Elim and offers complex aromas and flavours that will satisfy even the most discerning Shiraz aficionados.

In Elim, virgin land with a unique rotundone characteristic was sourced for the production of Shiraz, benefiting from a cool maritime climate and diverse soils. A small volume of carefully selected fruit was open fermented in stainless steel tanks, with 30% left as whole clusters, resulting in a big-structured Shiraz with firm tannins, intense black fruit flavours and multi-layered complexity. The wine was matured for 13 months in second and third fill French oak barrels.

The 2018 vintage expresses Maraschino cherry, violet and blackberry aromas, while the 2019 vintage conveys black cherry, lavender and blackberry aromas. The 2020 vintage showcases delicate black pepper nuances indicative of the cooler climate and unique terroir.

Each bottle is packed in a wooden box.
