Brane-Cantenac

France - Bordeaux

Château Brane-Cantenac lies at the heart of the distinguished Margaux appellation. Well-known for producing wines of incredible elegance and finesse, this 75-hectare estate is a benchmark for quality and excellence in the world of fine wine. For many years, Brane-Cantenac was under the custodianship of Lucien Lurton and, since 1992, his son Henri has continued the journey that his father and ancestors began. Since Henri took over, there has been extensive investment in the estate, including improved vineyard management techniques, but Henri is careful to never lose sight of the traditional values that remain an inherent part of Brane’s identity. Planted to 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4.5% Cabernet Franc and some Carmenère, the estate’s vines are planted on fine, gravelly soils. The wines of Brane-Cantenac offer both weight and concentration and the haunting bouquet and quintessential elegance that characterise the wines of Margaux.
