Clos Saint-Martin

France - Bordeaux

Château Clos St. Martin is the smallest classified growth in Saint-Émilion with a 1.33-hectare vineyard. The Château is managed by Sophie Fourcade, a former attorney and a member of the Rieffers family whose wine producing history in the region dates back to the 17th century. Some of the estate’s neighbours include Château Beauséjour and Château Canon, and the property was named after the St. Martin church located nearby. The 35-year-old vines are predominantly Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, well-positioned on the Saint-Émilion plateau with clay and limestone soils.
