Marengo

Italy - Piedmont 

The Marengo family is a small producer based in La Morra, Piedmont and has been producing Barolo since 1899. Their 1.5 hectare block of Brunate, planted in 1950, represents an incredible one-quarter of their vineyard holdings. The farm is currently run by Marco, after his father, Mario passed away in 2001. The philosophy of Marco is to respect what the vineyards give him, as much as possible. The work in the vines is more important to him than the work in the cellar.
